Why is this role important?

We are hiring a Senior Business Analyst
Reporting directly to the Business Engagement Manager, the incumbent works with the appropriate business units to create business requirements and support business case development. The incumbent applies Supply Chain Systems domain knowledge as well as the various stages of the IT project life cycle including Requirements Gathering, Design Review, Test Planning and Review, Implementation Planning, Deployment Support (during and post-implementation).

Liaises with appropriate departments to create in-depth, complex, business case documentation.
Analyzes technical and functional impacts of various candidate solutions and approaches to respond to needs and provide recommendations to business units.
Supports the creation of User Acceptance Testing documentation.
Monitors and supports new releases, including e-mail communication, to respond to feedback and resolve issues. Liaises with relevant stakeholders such as Delivery, Architecture, Operations and the Support Desk as required.
Interfaces with third party vendors to support the timely delivery and high quality of services to the business.
Provides support and information as required to assist in the timely resolution of issues or problems.
L ead discussions and gather inputs/ideas from multiple stakeholders and brings them together in a clear, concise and complete manner
F acilitate large and complex workshops and meetings across multiple stakeholder groups
Understand core functionality of all applications used by the Product family
Address business / end-user inquiries related to the application
Create business process maps (in line with internal business process standards)
Define test scenarios and complete data prep activity
Execute UAT on behalf of the business and validate results
Manage requirements across lifecycle (identify conflicting requirements, prioritize by business impact, etc.) facilitate consensus of requirements across multiple stakeholders and conflicting inputs
Technical proficiency (scripting, configuration) for applications they support (e.g. WMS, TMS, etc.)

This position requires a demonstrated level of initiative and judgment in order to organize and prioritize tasks, workload and projects. Courtesy, tact and diplomacy are required in dealing with colleagues in every day working relationships.

Demonstrated understanding of Supply Chain applications, specifically Warehouse Management Systems and Transportation Management Systems. Knowledge of Manhattan, JDA application suites are an asset.
Experience in leveraging project delivery methodologies including agile, waterfall, iterative
Proficiency in the use of project management tools, i.e., Jira, Confluence is an asset
Expertise in agile techniques, including Scrum, Kanban is a definite asset
Proven experience in leveraging project delivery methodologies including waterfall, iterative, incremental and agile
Requires an understanding of inter-related work processes to be able to adapt to differing assignments.
Professional manner, tact, diplomacy and discretion in dealing with colleagues including senior management.
Draws on a number of known options to solve problems and to develop improvements.
Computer skills to produce effective, spreadsheets, reports, documents and presentations, as required.
Adaptable to set and prioritize work with varying exceptions. Able to work with diverse personalities and styles.
Communicates with clarity, verbally and in one on one or group situations, or over the telephone.
Communicates well in writing by composing clear documents; facility with editing and/or proof-reading is required

Post secondary education equivalent to a college diploma in Computer Science, Programming or equivalent.
