We have an opening for the regular, full-time position of Executive Assistant, Planning and Building. The successful candidate is a graduate of a two year office or business administration program, with a minimum of two years of experience in a senior support role, preferably within a local government setting, and a valid BC driver’s license.

You are detail oriented, possess superior organizational skills and are an excellent communicator. You have exemplary interpersonal skills, can sensitively manage private information and can effectively multi-task to provide senior level administrative support to the Planning and Building Department. You have advanced Microsoft Office skills and are proficient with Tempest software. Experience in the preparation of agendas and minutes will be considered an asset. Preference will be shown to candidates with direct experience in records management and working knowledge of applicable legislation.

Reporting to the General Manager, Planning and Building, the Executive Assistant is responsible for providing senior level administrative support for a variety of activities and managing the flow of information to and from the department.

This is a regular, full-time position (35 hours/week) with an hourly wage range of $31.50 to $36.18 per hour, as well as an extensive benefits package and compressed work schedule.
