Our IT Projects team is responsible for delivering both technology and business projects, as well as providing input to project and portfolio planning. We are a high-performing group which focuses on executing projects that connect business needs with process and technology solutions to drive seamless and innovative airport experiences.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills; you act with confidence and professionalism in all things. You are self-motivated, work collaboratively, and build trust amongst your teams, colleagues and stakeholders. You have a desire to help others understand the value of solution validation and are capable of leading project teams through all aspects of Quality Assurance. As a member of the IT Projects team, your focus will be the execution of test and defect management processes for both business and technology projects which will require you to work with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders. Your ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships will be critical to your success.
Reporting to the General Manager, IT Projects, you will be responsible for the following:
Assessing, executing and reporting on all aspects of Quality Assurance for medium to large sized projects, and for multiple projects at the same time
Documenting test scenarios and creating test matrices; translating User Stories and/or Use Cases into test cases
Ensuring that test and defect management processes are executed in accordance with project design, budget and schedule and that YYC’s project delivery framework is followed throughout
Peer reviewing other Quality Assurance Analyst’s documentation and/or test results
Coordinating other Quality Assurance project resources as needed to manage testing end-to-end, including business and operational acceptance testing
Applying risk-based testing approaches where appropriate
Actively engaging in maturing the Quality Assurance practice at YYC
WHAT YOU BRING
Post-Secondary education or training in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent in related industry experience
5+ years of progressive project experience
Foundational knowledge of project delivery life cycle
Strong Quality Assurance knowledge, skills and processes as defined by the ISTQB
Exposure to agile projects
Experience with projects for either IT or business stakeholders
Strong proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC)
Foundational (and working towards Advanced) level ISTQB designation is preferred
