As a Data Analyst at PressReader you will help discover the right information and insights hidden in vast amounts of data to help us make smarter decisions in delivering better products - driving increases in user satisfaction and business ROI. You will help automate statistics and dashboards for insights across products, usage, subscribers, transactions, finance and fraud.

This is an exciting and growth driving role within our Product team contributing to the success of all parts of the business. The pace will be fast, expectations high and the opportunities boundless - this is the ideal role for a data analyst with strong experience, stellar communication skills, can-do attitude and a sense of humour.

Responsibilities

Understanding business needs and requirements and developing solutions to help stakeholders and teams find the right insights to drive growth
Building dashboards, analysing and mining data using state-of-the-art methods
Extending company’s data with third party sources of information when needed
Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis
Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner

Requirements

Here are skills for our ideal candidate:
BSc+ in Computer Science, Data Analysis or related field
  • NIX friendly, CLI utilities, basic scripting
Advanced SQL user: large storages, complex and efficient queries, accurate working
Ability to learn new SQL dialects, SQL-like query languages and other unusual ways to get the data
Python at least at iPython notebooks level
Common Python data manipulation libs: pandas, numpy
Data visualization using either libs or 3rd party high level utilities like Tableau
Data cleaning and consistency checking skills
Basic applied statistics skill
Basic Machine Learning (optional)
Making full and comprehensive documentation for experiments
Stellar communication skills to gather requirements, propose solutions, deliver results and present insights for internal and external stakeholders
Working with web analytics, from raw usage logs to Flurry, Google Analytics, Firebase
Experience with MS Dynamics, PowerBI.
Working with marketing information, financial information
