Reporting to the Manger of Logistics & Installations, the chosen candidate will fill a critical customer-facing role. In this capacity, the chosen candidate will be central in ensuring the ongoing success of our customers. Ideally, the candidate will have previous experience in a similar role as described below.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete site installations as well as hardware/software upgrades
  • Respond to dispatch requests from the Manager of Logistics to diagnose & repair onsite system issues
  • Document all system problems / site visits / preventative maintenance
  • Maintain a log of all visits as well as distances travelled
  • When not at a customer site, assemble & configure hardware for deployment in our warehouse
  • Make recommendations for improving the service, reliability, and performance of our equipment
  • Help supplement documentation by converting answers discovered while supporting customers and converting the information into official learning resources content
  • Accomplish any other related tasks assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience within a customer service-oriented IT environment as well as in-depth support experience in a large-scale network environment.
  • Solid understanding of computer components and network peripheral devices
  • General knowledge of firewall hardware and administration
  • Solid experience with Networks & MS Windows 7 and 10 operating systems
  • Able to assemble a computer from parts to good working order
  • Exceptional communication; Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to be used to solve a variety of problems in an accurate and timely way
  • Hold a valid Ontario driver’s license and can drive a cube van if required
  • Must be able to work at all our customer sites including bars, strip clubs, restaurants, truck stops, recreational parks, retail stores etc. as needed
  • Ability to occasionally work weekends and/or holidays as needed to accommodate business needs
  • Occasional travel outside normal territory
  • Flexible and adaptable attitude to change

Working Environment

  • Will principally drive a company cube van or car but may sometimes be asked to use his/her own vehicle for onsite visits
  • Expected to dress professionally and maintain proper personal hygiene when visiting customers
  • When not on the road or at a site, will be in the warehouse, either preparing/configuring or testing equipment as required by Got Skill business needs
