A few opportunities are currently available to enjoy the fresh air and incredible views in a stunning national park setting this winter while “Taking Care of Banff” by working with our Municipal Parks team to make our sidewalks, stairs and trails safe and enjoyable for the public.
As a winter seasonal labourer, your duties will include: shoveling bus stops, stairs, sidewalks and crosswalks, litter picking, cleaning fire pits, stocking and splitting wood, removing ice from walkways and stairs, and helping with special events.
You will need to be energetic, have a great attitude, be flexible and willing to learn new tasks, have an eye for details, and have the ability to work comfortably outside in all weather conditions. Shifts will be from 6am to 2pm, 5 days per week. A clean, Class 5 driver’s license is required (with recent abstract) and experience pulling trailers is an asset.
Rate of pay is between $18.00/hour and $20.00/hour depending on experience. This contract will is effective October 5th, 2021 to April 22nd, 2021 and upon completion of your contract, you will be awarded a $1.00 per hour bonus (to be paid on your final pay cheque) for each regular hour worked.
