Deputy Treasurer
The Municipality of Huron East is a progressive and growing municipality of approximately 10,000 residents. The Municipality of Huron East is seeking a motivated and dedicated individual for the position of
Deputy Treasurer. The Deputy Treasurer position is responsible for completing financial analysis, developing, implementing and maintaining the municipal asset management program, the accounting for municipal drains, bank reconciliations and in-house IT trouble shooting.
Qualifications:
- University degree or three year diploma in accounting, finance or related field. Certification in Asset Management will be considered an asset.
- Working knowledge of regulatory requirements, asset management standards and O. Reg.
588/17.
- Minimum two years of experience with similar responsibilities, preferable in a municipal environment.
- Thorough knowledge of applicable legislation, acts, statutes and regulations.
- Strong computer and records management skills
- Ability to deal effectively, courteously, and tactfully with the general public.
- Well-developed oral communication skills, writing skills, and organizational skills with an attention to detail
- Ability to work with constant interruptions and under pressure.
- Strong sense of confidentiality
The annual salary range for this position is $79,700 to $92,400. The Municipality also offers a comprehensive benefits package.
