You will be responsible for financial and analytical support for the organization. This will include developing models/analyses, assessing the financial viability of proposed business ideas, and working closely with the team to understand initiatives and make recommendations for future viability and direction of these initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:
Oversee financial operations of Rumie
Responsible for the accuracy of Rumie’s accounting transactions and records
Provide analytical support to the business team in understanding the financial implications of current and new lines of businesses or initiatives
Responsible for managing all incoming revenus (sales, donations, grants), and preparing corresponding reconciliations and documents (invoices, tax receipts, financial reporting)
Coordinate and lead the annual audit process and annual government filings
Lead budgeting and operational planning process
Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures (including inventory management)
Other ad-hoc finance and accounting projects
Qualifications
Required
Accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA, CPA) either completed or in progress preferred
3-5 years of professional experience
Exceptional attention to detail
Knowledge of accounting and payroll software is required
Demonstrate “common sense” approach to problem solving and analysis
Strong desire to collaborate, high level of initiative taking, and a professional attitude
Good time-management skills and a flexible attitude, with ability to meet tight deadlines
Great team player and can also thrive in self-managed and independent environments
Excited to work in a rapidly-growing startup and tackle a variety of work.
