Job Summary:
This role is administrative in nature and supports the disability and attendance support department along with the health and safety department. Much of the work involves generating reports based on information gathered from multiple databases.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Attendance Support program:
Generates reports which track the absences of staff members on a monthly basis
Reports are sent out to managers as the basis for the attendance support program
Generates attendance support program letters

Disability support program:
Answers basic questions by email or telephone
Information from faxes and emails are loaded into data base which serves to establish a disability claim which will subsequently be passed to a disability case manager for further adjudication and management
Completes time coding for new sick leave cases
Completes various application forms for Workers Safety Insurance Board and Long Term Disability
Generates statistical reports for analysis of the program

Incident reporting:
Responsible for all hospital incident reports
Contacts each employee who files an incident to confirm details and to gather additional information as needed
Transfers information from incident reports to the department database

Qualifications:
University degree or college diploma from an administrative program or equivalent education and experience
Must be proficient with general data base
Must be proficient with Microsoft office software including advanced excel functions
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a large office environment
