THE POSITION

The primary role of Sales Representative is to develop and maintain a solid portfolio of customers who buy on a regular basis. This role requires someone with an entrepreneurial spirit, who is motivated to make outgoing calls and develop solid long-term relationships. This person is goal-oriented, competitive, and gets satisfaction by exceeding their personal and professional targets.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and nurture a solid base of customers who buy on a regular basis
  • Build potential customer lists, using a variety of search methods, constantly growing your prospects
  • Cold call prospective potentials in order to qualify them and determine if they are a good fit for Weston Forest
  • Maintain and grow existing Weston Forest accounts
  • Communicate consistently and effectively with customers and potentials
  • Travel to visit customers and potentials as required
  • Build strong relationships, based on trust and integrity: become their supplier of choice
  • Negotiate firmly and fairly while meeting the customer’s needs
  • Achieve new account, sales and gross profit targets, through your daily activities. Meet other KPIs as needed
  • Provide outstanding support to sales management team and customers by answering incoming customer calls, provided information on the status of orders or stock supply, writing/verifying/tracking orders
  • Assist with accounts receivable collections and customer maintenance as needed
  • Participate in training and development courses, continuously improving your skill set
  • No resistance to raise prices as required
  • Experience making profit-based decisions based on available facts
  • Assist team with market assessment and make buying and selling recommendations
  • Be punctual and maintain attendance
  • Adhere to Company policies and procedures
  • Use Salesforce to keep up to date information on all customers and prospects
  • Other duties as required to attain company goals
  • Purchasing as required by sales manager
  • Reports to General Manager - Commodity Lumber & Retail Group

  • Strong phone sales skills with a confident and personable approach
  • Good business acumen, professional, strong business ethics

  • Must have a valid Passport and be able to travel into the United States
  • Has an automobile and a valid driver's license
