You will act as a trusted resource for ENMAX Power Corporation (EPC) to execute performance management reporting and comprehensive business analytics.

Major Responsibilities:
Provide advanced financial advice in a consulting role with internal regulated utility clients with respect to budgeting and forecasting capital expenditures. Work with the business units to develop accurate estimates for month end closing work in progress (WIP) and other rate base components.
Prepare the fixed asset and depreciation components of the regulatory filings for the AUC including variance analysis, continuity schedules and rate base calculations.
Provide financial analysis and reporting with regulated utility unique terminology, theory and practice related to mid-year ratebase, cost of service, cost of debt, revenue requirement, return on equity, etc.
Participate in regulatory proceedings as necessary including but not limited to providing accurate data, responding to information requests.
Review and analyze Alberta Utility Commission (AUC) Decisions to determine impact to EPC. Implement required changes.
Provide regular consolidated management reporting that reconciles with financial systems and facilitates management discussion and decision-making.
Provide enhanced management reporting and analysis of financial operating results and capital expenditures.
Develop processes to update the regulatory ledgers for Distribution and Transmission in the USA/MFR realm to ensure accurate and up-to-date reporting including adjusting for accounting differences related to the regulated utility vs. corporate accounting under IFRS.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with other corporate departments.
Perform and participate in other projects as assigned.

Education Required:
The successful candidate must possess a University degree and/or a CPA, CMA, CGA, CA designation.

Qualifications & Experience:
8 year’s + progressive experience in a financial and analytical role within a large organization.; specific knowledge of transmission and distribution business highly desirable.
Solid understanding financial systems.
Advanced Excel skills required.
Strong knowledge of financial systems including reporting applications (experience with the PowerPlan Asset Management System and experience with ad hoc report development would be considered a definite asset.)
Data driven with strong analytical skills and synthesis capability with the ability to craft narrative in a clear and concise manner from a variety of data sources.
Ability to communicate detailed financial analysis and performance metrics in a visually impactful and meaningful manner to a variety of audiences.

Salary: Financial Business Analyst Level D (Current CUPE 2019 rates)

$103,871.77 - $110,378.63 - $116,865.66 - $123,392.36 - $129,899.22
