If you love the mountains, healthy living, and are looking for a unique summer job we have an awesome opportunity for you! We are looking for a full-time store manager to work and live out in Lake Louise for the summer at our pop-up location. Not only does the position pay competitively but we will be providing paid accommodation!

Our Lake Louise location opens May 1st and runs until September long weekend. You will start training a month before at our Britannia location, followed by a site visit early April. Your move in date to your accommodations on the Lake Louise Fairmont property will be April. 24th, giving you a weekend to get settled and comfortable with your surroundings.

*This position requires you to live in Lake Louise for the entirety of the season (4 months from May - September) although there are opportunities to take time off.

JUSU produces an entire grab-and-go food line-up made up of 100% organic, non-GMO ingredients, that often include the pulp of our juices. These items include, toasts, sandwiches, soups, salads, smoothies, hot elixirs, and treats. To date we have 14 cold-pressed juices, hydrators and nut mylks.

What does success look like as a Store Manager?

Store managers live and breathe the culture of JUSU. You are passionate about health and wellness, and you understand how important it is for the health of our communities that we all deserve access to real, organic, cold pressed juice, food and body products. We are pioneers in the health food movement, and as a manager, you embody that every day by sharing valuable information, educating our guests on what makes our products unique and proactively engaging our communities that we operate in through sample sessions and participating in events. You also want to grow and you understand that giving and receiving feedback and setting goals for yourself is a critical part of you and your team's development.

What does a Store Manager do?

Product

  • You possess a strong knowledge of, and can effectively train Jusu team members on how to recommend, sell, and prepare all Jusu products including cold-pressed juices, smoothies, bowls, elixirs, fuel, and body products
  • Create all made to order products to the desired recipe and ensure it is of the highest quality
  • Oversee food and beverage preparation to maintain quality standards, and reduce waste
  • Order and stock appropriate quantities of food products, packaging supplies etc.
  • Lead in-store initiatives to promote items approaching expiry
  • Use expiry to guide product recommendations when possible as well as sampling initiatives

People

  • Proactively engage every customer that walks through our doors
  • Ensure team members are visible on the floor to greet and help customers
  • Use constructive feedback to improve operations and create a dynamic team

Operations

  • Ensure staff abide by all company policies and complete the daily tasks assigned
  • Ensure proper cash handling procedures and inventory management
  • Create weekly staff schedules in accordance with labour budget, staff availability and time-off requests
  • Ensure opening and closing duties are completed in a reasonable amount of time
  • Maintain space by daily cleaning including floors, windows, counter-tops, your equipment is functional, and repairs organized if necessary

Sales

  • Responsible for maximzing sales
  • Customer retention: provide the best possible experience and products
  • Upselling: suggest products that pair well

What technical skills are required to be a Store Manager:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in retail or food service
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a manager/ supervisor role
