The Opportunity

TransX group, has an exciting opportunity for a Dispatcher to join our Operations Team at the Montreal Terminal. The Dispatcher is responsible for the effective management and support of an assigned fleet of drivers and trucks. Reporting to the Dispatch Manager, this position will focus on operational excellence and superior customer service. The Dispatcher is responsible for ensuring their fleet operates efficiently as a team in support of our high standards for driver success and customer service performance.

Shift: Monday to Friday; 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must have the following skills and abilities:

Three to five years of LTL City Dispatch experience
High School diploma required
A demonstrated ability to coach others
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Knowledge of Transportation/Logistics industry
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
Understanding of Montreal geography and familiarity with Hours of Service regulations
Demonstrated working ability with MS Word and Excel
A positive attitude and excellent people skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills in both French & English
Strong organizational, priority management, and problem solving skills
