Hours of Work: 10 hour - Rotational Split/Swing shifts.

**Guests are out fishing after Breakfast Service for the duration of the day. After morning duties are completed the afternoon is yours to do what you like, then resuming service at 5:00pm.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The Guest Services and Lodge Room Attendant provides Housekeeping and Dining Service to the Guests of the lodge.

The Housekeepingduties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Open & Close lodge rooms & cabins
  • Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors
  • Dust furniture and vacuum carpeting, draperies, area rugs and upholstery
  • Wash all windows, inside and out
  • Make beds, change sheets, distribute clean towels and toiletries
  • Clean bathrooms
  • Wash, dry, fold and store linens and towels on a daily basis
  • Pick up any debris and empty all trash containers inside rooms, cabins and on deck areas
  • Ensure proper storage and maintenance of all cleaning supplies and equipment

The Dining Service include but are not limited to the following:

  • Welcome Guests for Breakfast service at 7:00am and inform guests of each morning.

breakfast menu. Provide answers to guest questions regarding food items.

  • Staff will rotate in facilitating Shore Lunches for guests.
  • Welcome Guests back for Dinner service at 6:30pm and inform guests of the evenings dinner menu.
  • Provide professional, friendly and accurate service to guests promptly.
  • Be knowledgeable on daily menus prior to service.Provide guests with alternative options in the event of food allergy or sensitivities.
  • Communicate any all allergies and guest menu modifications to Chef and kitchen staff efficiently.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction, be courteous and attentive to any concerns and communicate to Chef or Supervisor to accommodate.
  • Ensure that the dining area is set and stocked appropriately prior to each meal service
  • Ensure the dining area is cleared and cleaned after each meal service.

Requirements & Qualifications

As this is a fly-in lodge the applicant must be willing to relocate and reside on site for the duration of the 2019 season.

This employer will provide Round Trip Airfare to the successful applicant!Departures and arrivals are based out of Kenora, Ontario and fly direct to the lodge.

Accommodations are free and are located on site, and are shared accommodations:

One four-bedroom cabin for 4 female employees and one seperate four-bedroom cabin for male employees.

All meals, other than shore lunch, are prepared in the kitchen and eaten in the dining hall. Staff will eat the same meals as customers. Staff dines prior to Breakfast service and Post Dinner service.

Previous experience is and asset however, not a requirement and training will be provided on site by the employer. The applicant must be available for work by May 20th through to September 15th, 2019. The employer is willing to accommodate and provide schedule flexibility with alternative end date should the successful candidates be required to return earlier than proposed season end date.

This employer provides a one-week vacationin the mid-season to staff, which includes a round trip flight to Kenora at no cost
