The Property Management Division of Highways & Public Works builds and maintains government buildings to provide safe workplaces for YG employees and public access to government services. We provide planning, design, project management, maintenance, custodial and grounds keeping services to Yukon’s buildings. We employ tradespeople, architects, engineers, labourers, administrators, and many other exciting careers.

Located in Dawson City, and reporting to the Superintendent, Northern Region, this position is the first point of contact, providing a full range of reception, administrative, and financial support functions. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational, coordination and customer service skills. Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks is essential as is the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet the qualifications listed below – specifically – how your work experiences and related duties align with these essential qualifications. Ensure a month/year format is used for each work experience. Please note that selection for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume.
Experience providing a broad range of administrative support, ideally in an office environment such as, filing, data entry, coordinating travel, managing contracts, proof reading documents, and maintaining file/records management;
Experience completing basic financial administrative tasks such as reconciliations, invoice tracking, routing change orders;
Experience providing customer service to clients, ideally within an office setting;
Experience working with tenders and proposals would be considered an asset; and
Coursework in office administration would be considered an asset.
Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.
