We have a current opportunity for a full-time Digital Media Planner/Buyer in our Media Department, where we plan and buy media space for national and local business in a variety of industries including retail, sports, transit, health care and Government. Our ideal candidate has planning experience (both digital and traditional media) and is passionate about media and advertising, staying current on advertising trends and emerging media.

The Digital Media Planner/Buyer’s responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the Media Director and Senior Planners in developing digital media strategies for our clients
  • Preparing and presenting media plans that will deliver on our client’s objectives
  • Setting up and launching digital campaigns within ad platforms including Facebook, Google, Twitter, Snapchat and LinkedIn
  • Negotiating the purchase of media space with media vendors and manage all related contracts and insertion orders
  • Working with the Acart digital team and client teams to coordinate the performance measurement framework
  • Monitoring the ad spends and optimize ad performance of digital campaigns
  • Preparing and presenting campaign reports, performance insights, and recommendations
  • Working with other agency teams in the development of ad material specs and ad distribution
  • Collaborating with the Media Director and Account Directors to develop new business opportunities for the agency

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of digital media planning and buying experience
  • Knowledgeable about the Canadian media landscape, media usage trends, and available advertising vehicles and formats
  • Experience with media research tools such as InfoSys+, Lens, ComScore, Vividata and SalesPro
  • Experience with digital marketing platforms such as Google AdWords, Facebook Business Manager, Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook

In addition to technical skills, we are looking for people who are analytical, organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task, who work well on teams as well as independently, and have excellent English written and oral presentation skills. (French is an asset)
