Lar-Mex Inc. is currently seeking an Engineering Control Technician to join our growing team. The Engineering Control Technician will contribute to the successful installation and operation of automation systems with proprietary/open protocols while respecting timelines and budgetary constraints.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Contribute to standard libraries for programming and graphics.
Deliver projects by implementing programming and graphics.
Ensure quality assurance of programming, graphics and field work.
Identify design changes and update our internal tool(s) appropriately.
Perform all related tasks concerning the functioning and organization of the office and appropriate tools.
Other duties may be required based on operational requirements.

2-5 years of experience in the installation, testing and start-up of automation and HVAC systems is required.
Must have a degree in technology of building mechanics, mechanical engineering, electronic or computerized systems.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing in both French and English.
Must have a valid driver’s license.

Knowledge and Abilities:
The ideal candidate will possess a thorough knowledge of electromechanical systems, HVAC standards and codes as well as an understanding of various computer communication protocols such as: BacNet, LonWorks, Modbus and/or proprietary.
Niagara or similar framework.
Line based programming.
Must have the ability to anticipate work needs and follow through on a given task with minimal direction.
Must have strong organization and time management skills.
Must have an innate sense of analysis and problem-solving skills.
