Saab Canada Inc. (SCI) is located in Dartmouth, N.S., and provides support to the Department of National Defence for the Saab Radar systems found onboard the Halifax Class Frigates. Services include program management, mobile repair parties, retrofit activities, repair services and equipment modifications. SCI is taking on new responsibilities in relation to sustainable growth within Canada, and as such is expanding its facilities and capabilities. Due to this growth, the company is looking to add a Project Analyst to its team.

Responsibilities

As the Project Analyst you will:
  • Assist the Program Manager/Lead in the coordination of project activity;
  • Develop and monitor Purchase Orders and Quotations;
  • Review and approve vendor invoices and development of support documentation;
  • Support the PM in monitoring contract deliverables;
  • Be the point of contact for internal and external billing;
  • Maintain project records and databases;
  • Assist in monitoring Project KPIs;
  • Coordinate office documentation, and
  • Conduct daily administrative tasks.
Qualifications

As the ideal candidate, you have experience performing administrative functions on complex government contracts. You will also have experience leading contracts, or parts thereof, at a Junior Project Manager level or equivalent experience. You are able to work independently and reach out to a multitude of stakeholders in developing and coordinating your daily, weekly and monthly tasks. You have an above average attention to detail and have extensive experience using Microsoft Office.

You have (or are able to obtain) a NATO Secret level security clearance and are able to travel nationally and internationally on an as required basis.

This Employment Opportunity is initially a 12-month position for maternity coverage of the Contracts Administrator, with the very real possibility of an extension into a full time position.
