The Senior Analyst, Sales Planning will report into the Manager, OEM Pricing and Analysis and owns data management and reporting within the Sales Planning & Marketing function, adding value to the information being shared. This role maintains competitive program analyses and industry reports to identify sale opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the key liaison with credit and funding to troubleshot systems in support of program execution and availability
  • Maintain program launch audit trail and coordinates launch activity with Sales, Marketing and IT
  • Work with finance team to validate monthly subvention billing to ensure high levels of accuracy
  • Maintain and enhance sales databases and reports
  • Work with IT to automate data transfers, data loads and data extracts
  • Coordinate month-end sales analysis and reporting, including industry trends, macro-economic changes, OEM sales performance and program changes
  • Prepare regular (weekly/monthly) reports internally and externally (Global Headquarters/Brand Partners)
  • Perform monthly retail and lease competitive payment analysis and review with Field Sales Team
  • Compare Hyundai/Kia/Genesis vs. competition on advance, mix and market share
  • Support pricing and product development activities w/ ad hoc competitive and sales analysis
  • Maintain audit trail for new program launches
  • Work with finance to validate monthly subvention calculations and billings
  • Calculate and submit monthly product billing rates to Brand Partners
  • Update and monitor sales, financial and risk assumptions to support program pricing
  • Provide sales and pricing analysis for Performance Review activities
  • Support Sales/Credit/Funding on operational needs

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, or marketing required
  • 5 years of related financial analysis experience
  • Minimum 2-3 years competitive sales analysis experience
  • Experience in automotive sales and/or automotive financing
  • Advanced user proficiency with MS Excel, Power Point, SQL and/or Oracle is a must
  • Working experience with Tableau, SAS database and analysis tools is preferred
  • Experience in VBA and Advanced Macro Programming (MS Office) is an asset
  • Expert level skills with financial calculation and business case development to support product / pricing actions
  • Strong analytical and logical thinking
  • Proven ability to problem solve and troubleshoot
