The Legal Assistant will assist two members of the legal team in their duties and will be responsible in particular for the follow-up of the files and the projects of the service in addition to assuming certain administrative tasks for the entire Legal Affairs team.
Write and prepare legal documents, presentations, letters and e-mails; review and translate them as needed;
Open files and update, classify, scan and archive electronic documents and files;
Answer and follow up on phone calls and e-mail requests and / or direct requests to those concerned;
Manage the agenda and organize meetings;
Coordinate business trips;
Preparing payment requests / expense accounts for subscriptions, dues and other expenses;
Perform any other duties related to the position.
Recognized studies in legal secretarial or the equivalent or a legal technique;
3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position;
Litigation experience (an asset);
Organizational sense, efficiency, rigour and autonomy;
Ability to work on multiple files while adapting to new priorities and meeting deadlines;
Ability to work individually or in a team;
Essential bilingualism (fluency in oral and written French and English),
Excellent writing and presentation skills;
Knowledge of Spanish (an asset);
Discretion, professionalism and resourcefulness;
Knowledge of LegalSuite software (an asset);
Excellent knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
