As the National Accounts Manager – Food Service Distribution , you will play a pivotal role in charting the future growth and forward direction of one of the largest Customer segments of our Foodservice Business. Leading our long-term relationship with key Distributor Partners in Canada, your primary role will be to plan, develop and implement exciting new sales activities and growth initiatives with Sales and Marketing teams across Canada. In collaboration with our Regional Sales, Culinary, Marketing and Sales Planning teams you will create new paths to exponentially grow our Sales through Distribution in Canada. Based in Toronto, the incumbent will have the flexibility to develop aggressive customer growth strategies that align with delivering Weston’s long-term growth plans and strengthening relationships with Distributor Category Teams.

The ideal candidate will excel as a consultative Sales Leader who combines Customer focused solution selling, culinary inspiration and Insights-Driven Innovation. The ideal National Accounts Manager will bring a passion for Food and hunger for growth to a very dynamic and forward thinking Foodservice Sales Team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Use market trend and Bakery Product expertise to develop incremental business through Sales Training Plans, Marketing Initiatives and Customer targeted approach through existing Foodservice Broker Sales network.
Collaborate with Foodservice Leadership Team in development of the annual business plan in support of annual Sales goals, Budgets and Strategies;
Develop and grow key business relationships focused on continually elevating our game driving profitable growth across multiple categories;
Drive sales to meet department targets both in growth through Product innovation and business development as well as leveraging Distributor’s local sales network.
Collaborate internally with Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Product Development functions to best maintain existing sales and win new customer business;
Develop and continue to evolve expertise in all aspects of the full assortment of Weston bakery products, innovation platforms, and a complete understanding of the Foodservice Marketplace with regard to competitive product.
Identify multiple promotional opportunities and drive decisions on events/activities that would lead to incremental Sales.

ABOUT YOU

7-10 years of sales experience working in the food service business, including experience working with distributors, food service chain accounts and Broker Sales Teams.
Core competence is success building long term, sustainable relationships with Foodservice Distributors.
Ability to work independently with strong planning, analytical and organizational skills.
Persuasive interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills required.
Proven leadership and business acumen skills.
Successful track record of building long term growth Strategies and implementing to deliver results.
Team player, flexible, willing to work within constantly changing environment with enthusiasm.
Commitment to excellence, high standards and to Weston Foods Values and Passion for Food!!
Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint etc. Salesforce and Blacksmith experience are an asset.
Willingness to travel as needed to drive business results
Required to follow health and safety standards at all times.
Undergraduate degree or diploma in business/commerce, economics, marketing, , food science, culinary, math/stats or other related discipline is preferred but not required
