The Company is accepting applications for a Full Time Maintenance Mechanics/Millwright.
Pay: 35.49/hour + Full Benefits
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor your responsibilities are:
- Day to Day maintenance of equipment
- Trouble shooting, preventive and predictive maintenance
- Communication with shift supervisors and managers
- Participation in or conducting training on familiarity with equipment
- Provide mechanical maintenance and set up of all related pack room process equipment
- Assembling equipment, mounting electrical boxes, retrieve parts for work in progress, painting, locating production equipment, general housekeeping of job site areas, cutting steel
- Welding, use of a cutting torch and terminating wires
- Other general maintenance duties as required
Qualifications of the job are:
- Valid Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Ticket an asset
- Open to other forms of mechanical licesnses or apprentices
- Certified from a recognized Apprenticeship Program
- Ability to identify and use basic hand/power tools in a safe and efficient manner
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Willing and capable of completing necessary safety training (i.e. lockout, etc.)
- Ability to do some bending, lifting, climb stairs and ladders
- Must be able to read and interpret blue prints
- Must pass a practical job-related skills test (i.e. tools, measurement, welding)
- Experience with hi-speed packaging equipment will be considered an asset
- Experience in the food industry and general maintenance is an asset
- Computer skills and familiar with CMMS’s systems
- Security Background Check
