We’re seeking a Summer Student Recruiter to join our team.
Summer is the most difficult time of year to recruit blood donors but the need for blood doesn’t change. This summer, do something that matters. Help Canadian Blood Services recruit blood donors.
We are looking for someone to support the efforts of donor recruitment at community events. In this role you will attend local events to raise awareness regarding the importance of donating blood or blood products by booking interested individuals into appointments at upcoming clinics or registering individuals to receive further information regarding donation opportunities. You will work with staff on identifying possible events, activity targets and best practices for event execution.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Experience with sales, promotions and/or marketing and dealing with the general public
Ability to initiate conversation and speak comfortably regarding opportunities to get involved at Canadian Blood Services
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks while being flexible
Strong personal initiative and a passion for the cause
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Some post-secondary education, plus related experience or equivalent combination
Preference will be given to those with an interest in Sales, Marketing or Public Outreach
Experience with use of devices such as tablets and laptops
Experience with use of social media
Fluency in English; French an asset
To be eligible, youth must:
be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment
be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment
have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
