Responsibilities:
The planner/scheduler position is responsible for assessing, monitoring and making recommendations to the Area Supervisor regarding the planning, scheduling and coordinating of labor, material and system resources for maintenance and operational activities. This position requires a working knowledge of pipeline operation and maintenance activities and knowledge of the planning, scheduling, procurement and the integrated management systems (e.g. PM, MM, CO)

Perform duties as per SAP PM training material such as:
Review new notifications, create into orders, and set dates accordingly.
Review newly generated IPDMs and schedule appropriately.
Manage notification and order statuses as required.
Validate and confirm the accuracy of equipment data within SAP (e.g. bill of materials, maintenance strategy plans, equipment specifications etc).
Liaise with Operations, and Engineering to develop and review planning documents.
Develop and revise Long Range Work Plans , Performing Work Lists , Planning Priority Lists and Work Schedules for the geographic planning area to ensure we perform work that is properly planned and ready to execute
Generate various facility and maintenance reports (e.g. backlog, delinquent PM’s, schedule compliance, manpower availability, planning accuracy).
Coach and mentor associate Planner/Schedulers.
Provide ongoing lessons learned and recommendations towards the continuous improvement of Planning/Scheduling in U.S. Transmission

Qualifications:
5 years experience in energy industry with knowledge of field related processes/operations
Bachelors’ degree in business, computer science, information technology, engineering or a related field OR equivalent experience. Experience with Work Management Systems is desired.
Strong computer skills (MS office) and analytical skills
Working Knowledge of natural gas pipeline operation and maintenance activities.
Experince in job scoping and estimating, maintenance planning & scheduling is considered an asset
Ability to influence and negotiate; Facilitation skills; Demonstrated self starter is considered an asset
