Motor Coach Industries (MCI), an industry leader in Charter and Luxury Touring Coaches, is seeking a Finance Systems Business Analyst to join our team. As the market leader, MCI designs, manufactures and markets coaches for tour, line haul, transit and conversion uses. The Finance Systems Business Analyst is responsible for identifying areas of potential improvement in Finance processes and to develop and implement solutions to maximize department efficiencies. The first assignment for this role will be to represent the Finance department within an 18 month project implementing an Oracle ERP system into the business.

Primary Responsibilities

Assist in the implementation of an Oracle ERP system into the business. Key project deliverables include future state design, system testing, training end-users, and implementation at Go Live.
Identify continuous improvement opportunities in the Finance department through reviews and assessments of current business processes and systems.
Develop conceptual designs of proposed solutions.
Prepare business cases to support the selection and prioritization of opportunities based on predetermined evaluation criteria.
Translate Finance process end user requirements into technical specifications to enhance business systems used by the Finance team.
Act as the liaison between Finance and the Information Technology Group to develop technical solutions where required.
Work in collaboration with the Information Technology Group to identify Finance requirements for hardware, software development, licensing feasibility, cost, and compatibility.
Conduct acceptance testing of new business systems and system enhancements to ensure performance meets technical specifications.
Assist in business process conversions and execute implementation plans.
Work collaboratively with the functional areas to support system enhancements.
Resolve business system issues to ensure the needs of Finance are met.
Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of Finance business processes and accounting policies.

Position Requirements

Completion of a professional accounting designation, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
Oracle experience is preferred and considered an asset.
Knowledge and experience of business process redesign or re-engineering experience preferred.
Strong computer skills (MS Office – Word, Excel, Visio) and ability to learn new systems.
Ability to converse in a professional manner and collaborate with all levels of the organization.
Motivated self-starter and ability to prioritize different demands while still meeting key deadlines.
The ability to think creatively and work in a team project atmosphere.
Exceptional planning, organization, analytical, interpersonal, presentation, and decision making skills.
Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards and related principles.
