In this role you will lead a dynamic and highly motivated team to deliver effective maintenance planning, drive efficient scheduling to support our site wide maintenance execution teams and deliver continues improvement through enablement of the business process team.

You will use your expertise to:
Lead a diverse group of Maintenance Planners and Schedulers to develop high quality maintenance plans and align maintenance resources with operational priorities
Support maintenance execution leaders to build and maintain planning and scheduling activities, advise and measure progress
Facilitate and develop enablement and integration frameworks. Develop, implement, sustain, and continuously improve processes and procedures to ensure the ongoing integrity of maintenance and reliability activities and integration with site functions
Support the implementation and sustainment of equipment strategies and maintenance programs through SAP Programming
Support the development of budgets, business plans, key performance indicators (KPIs) and monthly stewardship reports
Utilize metrics to drive improvements to overall maintenance delivery

Must-haves (minimum requirements):
15 years of dynamic experience in heavy industrial or maintenance roles with a focus on planning and scheduling
Eight years of experience managing a team
High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
A valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record
Technical knowledge of best practices for planning and execution of routine maintenance, outage maintenance and turnarounds, commissioning, shutdowns / startups and process safety management
Broad experience in computerized management systems and physical asset management business processes.
Ability to provide a strategic approach to optimize, integrate and/or design processes and supporting systems for stewardship, reporting and information management.
Proven analytical skills, the ability to think strategically, and a continuous improvement mindset
Strong leadership experience, including non-authoritative leadership within cross-functional teams

Preference for:
Post-secondary education
Knowledge of mining equipment, ore preparation plants, extraction facilities, froth treatment processes and supporting utilities and offsite systems
Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other meaningful information:

You will work out of our camp-based Fort Hills mining site, located in Alberta’s Athabasca region, 90 kilometres north of Fort McMurray, Alberta
The shift schedule is a 4 days on / 3 days off rotation and will eventually transition to 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday in Calgary
