Under the direct authority of the Director of Quality, Evaluation, Performance and Ethics (DQEPE), the incumbent oversees the activities and the stakeholders associated with major projects including the modernization of Lachine Hospital, in order to ensure successful project completion. The incumbent structures the project and establishes the communication channels and decision-making platforms of the projects in line with best practices. He is responsible for the proper management and coordination of all activities and sub-projects related to project execution. In addition, the incumbent provides project management expertise to guide and support the project team in carrying out the project. He also oversees the achievement of deliverables and ensures close collaboration with appropriate stakeholders at each project phase.
The advisor has a functional authority which gives him the authority to act or to give directives to members of the project team for whom he is not the line manager, as well as to represent project sponsors in the accomplishment of his functions and mandates.
Responsible for the project management process of the major project assigned to him, i.e. the design, planning, realization, implementation, operationalization, maintenance and support of initiatives associated with the project. Continually assesses the impacts of proposed subprojects and ensures the development of strategies and plans aimed at ensuring their successful implementation.
Acts as a consultant with stakeholders in terms of approach, methodologies and tools associated with project management. Participates in the training and coaching of the various actors attached to the project.
Supports and contributes to the continuous improvement of the project office.

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as project management, health service administration, health sciences, etc.;
Master’s degree in a relevant field;
PMP certification is an asset;
Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a similar position, preferably in the health care sector;
Excellent command of Office suite systems (Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Word, Access);
Working knowledge of project management and best practices in the health industry (budgeting, control and monitoring, workload balancing, leveling of resources, risk analysis)
Responsible, reliable and autonomous;
Superior analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills;
Demonstrates strong teamwork and interpersonal skills;
Ability to intervene in difficult or delicate situations;
Possesses excellent communication skills including the ability to influence and persuade various stakeholders;

Strong organizational skills to manage multiple files or projects simultaneously with tight deadlines;
Ability to initiate and to manage change effectively;
Proficiency in French and English, spoken and written.
Classification salary: 15 Minimum: $73,955 Maximum: $96,141
