JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Residential Finishing Carpenter Foreman

Reports to: Site Superintendent

Purpose: Organize and manage the finishing stages of new home construction. Contribute and support construction of homes adhering to the high-quality standards maintained by Urbandale Construction.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Inspect, organize trades for final fit-up of homes
  • Ensure house is prepared to high quality standards for purchaser inspection
  • Conduct PDI inspections with customers and follow up with trades
  • Drywall and trim install and repairs where needed

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Basic Residential Home Construction knowledge
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work with minimal Supervision
  • Good communication skills with trades
  • Ability to maintain schedule and communicate deadlines in a timely manner
  • Good ability to read blue print and work orders

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum five years’ experience
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Intermediate carpenter skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Reliable and dependable
