Reporting to the Maintenance Leader, the main focus of this position is to improve safety, electrical equipment reliability, optimize costs and product quality in the Melt Shop.
The Electrical Maintenance Facilitator works along Maintenance Supervisors, Planners, Reliability Engineers, and Electricians in order to meet the targets outlined above.
Techniques include electrical equipment redesign and the implementation of reliability practices such as preventive/predictive inspections, spare parts management, and optimized planning, scheduling and execution routines.
Manage and prioritize Electrical Maintenance Work Order backlog in CMMS (SAP)
Establish work procedures for corrective and preventive/predictive maintenance programs
Identify critical equipment spares, materials, and component needs
Support the preparation of work packages for maintenance activities during production interruptions and outages
Collaborate with Maintenance, Operations, and Engineering for equipment repairs and upgrades
Prepare electrical designs in accordance with established codes and standards
Supervise maintenance trades and contractors during downdays and outages for equipment repair and onsite activities
Identify and solve chronic electrical failures
Electrical Technologist or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering OR Certified Electrician with experience in an Industrial Setting
Knowledge of electrical building services, power distribution systems, and electrical power components
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Strong time management skills and ability to adjust to shifting priorities
Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
