Job description

As a Failure Analysis engineer you will be part of the reliability group, performing failure analysis of GaN Systems products. You will interact with design/marketing/operations and do failure analysis on our products. You will develop techniques, procedures and capabilities to further enhance the company’s capability in this discipline. You will be the resource person in the company for hard to solve failure analysis issues.

Responsibilities

  • Root cause analysis of reliability test or field failures and propose corrective actions.
  • Prepare failure analysis reports for both internal use and external customers.
  • Function as technical resource for failure analysis questions.
  • Co-ordinate all the logistic and instructions to initiating and directing the failure analysis process.

Qualifications

  • MSc/PhD in electrical engineering, physics or a related engineering discipline, with 5+ years of experience in a semiconductor company
  • Extensive Semiconductor technology and process knowledge (Fab, Assembly and Packaging)
  • Hands on experience of FA techniques like Cross Sectioning, X-ray, CSAM, FIB, SEM, and TEM is required
  • Good understanding of product function and basic electronics
  • Innovative and Creative with troubleshooting techniques
  • Enjoy hands-on work and working in a lab environment
  • Good customer and vendor management skills
  • Ability to work well in cross functional teams in a fast-paced collaborative team environment
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and attention to details
