Sobeys is full of exciting opportunities and we are always looking for bright new talent to join our team! We currently have a full-time opportunity for a Business Coordinator to join our Operations Support team based out of our office in Stellarton, Nova Scotia.

Job Description

What you'll get to do in this fast paced role:
The Business Coordinator is accountable for supporting the Director of Support Services and operations team with various foundational and strategic business needs, projects and initiatives. This individual helps improve the efficiency, organization, planning and communication of the team so we can best support the stores.

Aggregate data and provide insights Perform research for the Director of Support Services (e.g. look into competitor activities; create ad hoc reports, etc.)
Support Division specific communications
Liaise with various cross functional teams on operational initiatives
Establish and maintain relationships with store operators and external stakeholders
Manage business process changes and liaise with National teams
Assist in meeting facilitation
Solution innovative ways to drive continuous improvement within team and for stores
Special projects, initiatives and day to day operational support
Job Requirements

What your resume will include and demonstrate to us:
Minimum of 3 years grocery retail experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Working knowledge of SAP preferred
Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite
Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, work under pressure, and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects with demonstrated flexibility and adaptability
Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills
Exceptional interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
Driven self-starter and strategic thinker who has the competencies and capabilities to progress
