SUPPLY CHAIN PLANNER

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Forecast Planning:
  • In conjunction with National SIOP analysts, map and plan short and medium term customer demand for local product supply and provide visibility to sales and operations through timely reporting;
  • Maintain close relationships with all internal and field sales personnel and customers to remain ‘plugged in’ to evolving business conditions at the site and industry levels;
  • In conjunction with Operations Management, develop and maintain a finite and infinite capacity planning process and provide timely reporting on potential issues;
  • Oversee the scheduling group activities related to the identification, planning, scheduling and execution of production build orders and procurement replenishment orders;
  • In conjunction with the Procurement and Inventory Manager, manage and control plant inventory levels, dynamically optimizing the balance between order fulfilment and replenishment;
  • Proactively coordinate deliveries, expedite orders and effectively manage back orders with internal and external suppliers as required;
  • Effectively communicate with key stakeholders in Sales, Production, Customer Service, Customer Care, Quality Assurance and Finance;
  • Develop and maintain Excel-based reports to facilitate key tasks;
  • Continuously seek to drive process improvement by adhering to Lean best practices;
  • Adhere to established company policies, procedures and safety standards;
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 to 10 years of supply chain management experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally within the construction services industry;
  • CSCP/CPIM/SCMP or similar accreditation or current enrollment in a recognized program;
  • Demonstrable experience in supply chain management activities including forecasting, planning, scheduling, production control, procurement, inventory management, etc.;
  • Solid ERP / MRP skills experience, preferably with an SAP background;
  • Experience with Lean Business systems, Six Sigma and similar CI programs;
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities;
  • Superior oral and written communications abilities;
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills;
  • Strong sense of urgency and accountability;
  • Advanced Excel skills including use of formulas, pivot tables, conditional formatting, macros, etc.
  • Hands-on attitude, comfortable working in manufacturing and warehousing environments;
