About the Calgary Stampede!
The Calgary Stampede celebrates the people, the animals, the land, the traditions and the values that make up the unique spirit of the west. The Calgary Stampede contributes to the quality of life in Calgary and southern Alberta through our world-renowned Stampede, year-round facilities, western events and several youth and agriculture programs. Exemplifying the theme We’re Greatest Together, we are a volunteer-supported, not-for-profit community organization that preserves and celebrates our western heritage, cultures and community spirit. All revenue is reinvested into Calgary Stampede programs and facilities.
Our Event Crew (Internally known as venue attendant II) is a diverse and hardworking team, responsible for keeping the highest standards of cleanliness in our world-class Stampede venues. Our Event Crew is also responsible for assisting with the set-up and tear-down of a wide array of exciting events that happen on Stampede Park year round all while providing exceptional customer service to guests, clients and internal departments. This role is for various shifts from 11:30 PM - 8 AM with weekends involved.
Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
Perform exceptional housekeeping services in our world-class venues.
Assist with heavy, manual tasks involved in event set-up and tear-out for the exciting events on Stampede Park.
Safely and correctly operate small motorized cleaning equipment.
Perform routine security functions.
Adhere to all safety and environmental protection programs and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
Address facility maintenance, including minor painting duties and furniture repairs, as required.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, optimistic and have worked in a dynamic environment where they have experience delivering on multiple priorities and will hold the following qualifications:
High standards of cleanliness and able to provide exceptional customer service.
Previous building attendant experience or event experience is considered an asset.
Must have basic computer skills to use the Stampede scheduling/availability software.
Ability to understand instructions, notices, hazards and labels.
WHMIS certification is considered an asset.
This is a regular part time position that requires to work various shifts
