The National Assistant GM will be responsible for overseeing daily business operations and ensuring strategic goals are met by managing operational policies, maintaining budgets, managing employees, and more

Job Responsibilities

Develop and outline sales strategies for branch managers and inside sales and support teams that correlate with overall company objectives
Oversee daily business operations and help develop, guide and ensure ongoing practices are being met for standard operating procedures throughout branch network
Use goal setting and regular weekly/monthly meetings to ensure objectives are being met
Maintain highest level of customer service throughout all processes. Research and develop improvements where possible
Research market competition on a regular basis to look for leading practices and innovative solutions
Communicate and collaborate with cross functional teams; Purchasing, Marketing Finance, HR Outside Sales and Corporate Business Partners to ensure service levels from all teams are aligned with company objectives
Build and maintain a positive company culture by engaging team building, coaching and strong leadership techniques across all branches
Build and foster relationships with key customer accounts and vendor partners
Establishing plans, budgets and measuring results to ensure alignment with company objectives;
Allocating resources, reviewing progress and making mid-course corrections
Assist branch managers with P&L review and management to ensure budgets and targets are being met
Develop and maintain a strong training and leadership program to further engagement all staff and managers
Analyze operational and financial data, present findings to key stakeholders
Analyze operational processes and procedures to ensure efficiencies and look for opportunities for growth and development.
Some travel may be required.

Key Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business or relevant field, with 5+ years of managerial experience.
Must possess exceptional leadership, multi-tasking, communication and customer service skills
An established track record in successfully managing large projects and a proven track record building and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Experience working in a highly entrepreneurial environment and the personal commitment and motivation to be part of a successful team on a long-term basis
Ability to present and communicate ideas and concepts at all levels
Must have a strong business acumen with solid networking skills, innovative and creativity
Strong skills within a variety of technology and software
Bilingual in French an asset
