Reporting to the Head of the Change Management Office (CMO), the Senior Organizational Change Management (OCM) Specialist will play a key role in leading a multi-year corporate cloud transformation to move the organization from an on premise data centre model to a fully cloud enabled organization. This transformation will have enterprise-wide impacts and will require a comprehensive change management and communications strategy and plan.

The Senior OCM Specialist will provide a wide range of change management and communications activities, as well as provide oversight to third-party vendors engaged to support the transformation that result in employee awareness of the organizational changes and adoption of new processes and ways of working.

The Senior OCM Specialist will also act as an advisor to provide change management and communications advice and guidance to leadership at various check points throughout the transformation to ensure the change efforts are tracking as planned and business outcomes are being achieved.

Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Develop, implement, and advise on change management strategies and plan, which include the following activities, but are not limited to:

  • Design quality change management strategies
  • Perform change impact analysis (i.e., scope of planned change, impacted audiences, readiness of the organization to accept change, risk etc.)
  • Develop targeted strategies to address the impacts of change on people, organization, process, tools and technology, leadership and management
  • Identify resistance and performance gaps, and develop action plans to address them
Manage key internal stakeholders expectations and act as a change management coach for employees and leads:

  • Engage key stakeholders and/or the project sponsor(s) to gain buy-in for change management strategies and plans
  • Prepare and present communication and change management plans and status reports to all levels within the organization, providing ongoing input as required
  • Measure communication and change outcomes and performance, and report findings to key stakeholders
  • Identify methods to measure adoption, utilization and proficiency of individual changes
Provide oversight of third-party OCM vendors engaged to support the transformation initiative, which includes the following activities, but are not limited to:

  • Draft statements of work to outline the requirements for OCM vendor support
  • Ensure proper onboarding of OCM vendors to orient them to Innovapost’s tools and processes
  • Provide oversight and quality assurance of OCM vendor deliverables
Critical Skills and Competencies Characteristics

  • Academic : University degree in Business, Organizational Behaviour, Communications or related field (required)
  • Certifications : Change management training / certifications, Prosci (Asset), ITIL Foundations (Asset), Agile foundations (Asset), PMP (Asset);
  • 10+ years of experience in Change management or related field
  • Significant experience in leading organizations through transformation initiatives, with experience in cloud transformation
  • Experience in initiatives and organizational transformation involving comprehensive change activities
  • Experience in delivering change management within IT environment
  • Experience in influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including C-Suite
  • Previous experience in a consulting organization and/or relevant, distinguished industry experience is an asset
  • Strong track record in positioning an organization to achieve tangible outcomes
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools
  • Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal
