A designated, existing territory/route has been set up in the BDR’s area. This route consists of Merchants who have agreed to host an easel that will display artwork that DUC uses to raise funds for important conservation programs. Management of the route which consist of scheduling, weekly and bi-weekly, rotation of the print, collection of the bid slips and indicating a new auction date on the signage is performed by DUC’s SBA Contractor and will not be a responsibility of the BDR.

The BDR will independently and collaboratively with DUC’s Corporate Acquisition Representative solicit and acquire new SBA site locations by approaching potential location owners, selling the value/benefits of supporting the DUC SBA program to secure these locations to host our easels for the SBA program. The BDR will use DUC’s Merchant Acquisition Form to communicate all the information required for new SBA site approvals to the Corporate Acquisitions Representative.

The Business Development Representative will be responsible for the following activities for new and potential SBA easel locations in their respective territory:

  • The BDR's main objective is growth and sales. The BDR will be required to increase SBA easel locations by 50 within the 90-day term with a strong focus on maximum sales performance.
  • The BDR will report directly to the Corporate Acquisitions Representative and communicate their progress weekly. The BDR will provide updates regarding prospects, asks, follow-ups, closes and rejections.
  • The BDR will approach prospective locations in person and set appointments by phone, email. This is a “boots on the ground” initiative that requires persistence, professionalism and physical presence when “selling” the SBA program and asking for businesses participation.
  • The BDR will use DUC’s Merchant Acquisition Form to report newly acquired SBA locations to the Corporate Acquisitions Representative within 24 hours of approval.
