1st location: Montreal and surrounding areas
2nd location: Central/Eastern Quebec
Seeking an experienced, fully bilingual, District Manager with demonstrated experience in multi-unit management in a corporate and/or franchised organization. The role will cover Quebec territory comprised of 9 corporate store locations; frequent travel is required. The successful candidate will contribute to building our client’s future retail by actively working on its on-going evolution. You will ensure that the company’s mission statement, values, goals and strategies are fully implemented to increase brand recognition, sales and profits.

Snapshot of the role but not limited to
- Act as liaison between head office and stores
- Develop capabilities to deliver results within each store
- Accountable for KPI’s within the region (sales budgets, SSSG, EBITDA, Scorecards, CTER audits)
- Audit and inspect stores to ensure adherence to brand standards
- Develop action plan in partnership with Corporate Store Manager to improve overall operations performance
- Establish and build a trusting relationship with Corporate Store Managers and employees by conducting valuable, purpose-driven store visits with operational intensity to improve business results
- Conduct Store Consultation Reviews (SCR), based on the frequency as outlined in the annual plans
- Observe, assess and score the store based on the pre-set brand standard audit
- Coach employees in the moment to educate and inspire a change in behavior
- Communicate and share brand standards and available resources that assist the Corporate Store manager to remedy the gaps
- Identify gaps and opportunities to determine root causes in operating standards and overall customer satisfaction; share the results with the Corporate Store Manager
- Lead all areas of new store openings and assist in ensuring new stores reach their business goals
- Visit stores as required by the stores’ segmentation model
- Establish clear business goals and financial targets with Corporate Store Managers
- Identify opportunities and best practices to improve profitability of stores (both Franchise and Corporate).
- Conduct quarterly business reviews with Corporate Store Manager
- Ensure that Corporate Stores are fully staffed with the right people by adhering to the approved selection process, and aiding to hire, develop and retain great employees
What makes you successful
- Minimum of 5 years Retail experience
- Minimum of 5 years as a multi-unit manager required
- Experiences in sales, key account management, operations and/or customer service areas are strong assets
- Strong ethics and integrity
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both French and English
- Highly organized with strong time management skills
- Must present a positive, professional and energetic attitude; strong conflict management skills required
- Ability to work with and influence a variety of personality types
- A commitment to providing outstanding customer service
- Demonstrates high leadership and people development skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Large territory may require overnight travel
- Must be able to identify talent and assist leaders in developing strong leadership skills
- Must be able to build strong and cohesive relationships with Head Office and Operations team
