The PwC Global Licensing Services Corporation (GLSC) team is dynamic and high performing, with expertise in global operations, accounting, finance, technology, procurement and contracting. As a global center of excellence, GLSC is responsible for executing and administering global licensing and technology services contracts internally and on behalf of the PwC Network of member firms across 157 countries. The member firms are our clients, and we take pride in supporting them across geographic, national, and cultural boundaries. GLSC leads budgeting, financial reporting, territory bill-to-cash and supplier procure-to-pay processes in support of these contracts and works closely with Global Procurement and PwC Technology to successfully manage and renew its portfolio of contracts.

The Senior Associate, Accounting and Contracts Specialist is a key member of the GLSC team. The Accounting and Contracts Specialist role is an individual contributor role that reports to the Assistant Controller, and is based in Vancouver. This position will initially have the following key responsibilities that will evolve and grow over time. Responsibilities include:
Assisting with financial reporting, various reconciliations, month end close procedures and support during audit
Leading and/or supporting the GLSC billing process including consolidation of team billings, assisting with obtaining approvals, invoicing member firms, and uploading information into financial system
Obtaining tax and/or regulatory compliance documents in order to invoice customers
Driving and/or assisting with semi-annual census and analysis of results
Monitoring customer mailbox, responding to queries and/or management of team responses
Providing monthly customer statement of accounts
Maintaining reliable records and work product for later reference and auditing
Identification, owning and/or assisting with process improvements
Implementing and monitoring controls
Responding to team queries on how to use the financial system and/or ensuring consistency in capturing, maintaining and using of master data
Becoming the source of knowledge for complex contracts, cost allocation and billings
Leading and/or supporting the completion of other tasks, as required
Review of software licensing and IT services agreements for key terms and compliance requirements
Administration of GLSC agreements including generation of purchase orders (POs) and entering vendor invoices into the financial accounting system
Engaging with business stakeholders and/or supplier contacts to resolve operational issues related to contracts, POs, invoices and settlement
An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work
4+ years of experience working with an accounting team with a proven track record of progression
CPA (or equivalent international designation) is a requirement
Experience with procurement and legal contracts considered a plus
Process improvement or project management skills considered an asset
Superior Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets skills with the ability to use intermediate to advanced formulas to analyze and summarize data
Proficiency with the full set of Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite is an asset
Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills
Work effectively in a virtual team environment and/or experience working in a global team across varying time zones considered a plus
Self-starter with the ability to adapt and add value in a fast paced environment and who owns a task seeing it through to completion even amidst uncertainties
Effectively multitask and prioritize workload across multiple projects and with different stakeholders
Clearly communicate (written and verbal) findings, options, and recommendations, and risks
Excellent customer service and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
Experience in supervising small to midsize teams considered an asset
