We are seeking an outstanding candidate to undertake cutting-edge research on remediation and reclamation for postdoctoral positions supported by MITACS and CEPro Energy Group. The postdocs will be a member of the CAIP Research Chair team at Athabasca University and CEPro Energy Group. In the competitive oil and gas marketplace, the costs of remediation and environmental protection can affect the growth and profitability of the oil well operators. Therefore the challenge of improving the efficiency and cost of phased environmental site assessments is essential for both the profit of the corporations involved and adequate protection of the environment. The objective of the project is to develop an asset life cycle environmental liability management process to minimize the final liability discharge costs in the current phased environmental site assessment (ESA).
The positions are fixed term position for a period of 2 year for the first time and subject to review every six months with possible extension on mutual agreement. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadians and permanent residents will be given priority.
