Job Description

Here’s how we work:
We are currently seeking a Junior IT System Administrator to join our support team to assist users on-site and in remote offices with application, troubleshooting windows or other system problems, installing software, and maintaining printers. Based in our Vancouver office, the primary role will be supporting users in their daily tasks to ensure that a reliable and robust IT platform is available to all. A high customer service focus is critical in the role, and a strong technical skill set is a must.

The successful candidate will be expected to work efficiently with a local and advanced team, also independently with initiatives to achieve wider goals when required. The ability to work to defined corporate standards whilst offering suggestion for continued improvement is also an important part of the role.

Provide Phone/Email/On-Site support to local and remote offices
Work as a member of a centralized IT support team
Utilize the IT ticketing system to communicate with end user, while providing prompt response and timely resolution
Responsible for maintenance, repairs and installations
Responsible for inventory, routine and preventive maintenance tasks
Assist internal users experiencing operational, hardware, or network connectivity problems with their computer systems and provide basic support for the office productivity software used within the organization
Perform upgrades, repairs and preventive maintenance on desktops, printers, and other equipment
Verifies data integrity of backup and restore systems
Responsible for maintaining phone and voicemail system
Update knowledge and skills to keep up with rapid advancements in computer technology.


You'll need to have:
College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or 1 year equivalent work experience
1-3 years of professional IT experience
A+ or Microsoft Certified is an advantage
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Effectively communicate issues and resolutions to all levels of the organization
Willingness to multi-task and be flexible to take on varied responsibilities
Able to demonstrate patience, tact, and respect
Detail and follow-up skills required
Able to work autonomously and as part of a team

Advanced knowledge in:
Personal computers, printers, and network equipment
Windows WIN 10 and Apple OS X systems
MS Office 2016 Suite / Office 365
