Starting July 1, 2018, all candidates must have completed the Ottawa Hospital Environmental Services certificate in order to be considered for this position. You can register for this course at any time and complete the e-learning modules at your own pace. The e-learning modules are free to members of the public. There will be two practical training days following the completion of the e-learning modules at a cost of 100$ per person. After completing the modules and practical experience, learners will receive a certificate of completion that must be included in your application. The Ottawa Hospital is accepting online applications for upcoming Casual (On-Call) positions.
Position may be located at either the Civic, General, Riverside Campus or other TOH Satellite locations
Rotation - Various shifts
Days, Evenings and Nights, including weekends.
Minimum availability requirements: 2/3 weekends, 8 weeks during the period from June 1 to September 30, and five shifts between December 23 and January 3, inclusive of either Christmas Day, Boxing Day or December 31 / New Year's Day.
To provide a clean, safe and pleasant environment for patients, staff and visitors on campus and off-site buildings.
The Ottawa Hospital Environmental Services Certification or equivalent;
Good written and verbal communication skills in English;
Regular cleaner scope of tasks for a patient care area;
Elligible to work in Canada.
