As part of the Cloud Accounting Services Product Team, this role provides product support and application management (1/3) and implementation/conversion manager services (2/3):
Product Support and Application Management – National (1/3 of role):
Work with Cloud Accounting Product Managers to deliver on the Firm’s Cloud product roadmap
Act as technical champion for specific Cloud Accounting platforms and applications (Product Genius)
Own specific application lifecycle, internal support and implementation
Create workflow scenarios and documentation for L&D
Support Product Managers in identifying key value props to enable effective product marketing
Support Product Managers in vendor discussions and negotiations
Identify product gaps/weaknesses to monitor for iterative improvements and encourage vendor prioritization
Collaborate with vendor support staff to resolve client reported issues and escalations
Develop and maintain product knowledge base for practitioner and client self-help consumption
Provide guidance, expertise, and support to Cloud practitioners on:
Initial client platform deployment
Client training and onboarding
Platform integration and issue troubleshooting
Simple file conversions
Develop and deliver training content for program applications and job delivery processes
Conduct market research to drive input into product roadmap; assist in execution of pilots for future productization
Identify and explore regional market trends to develop industry specific tech stacks and workflows
Attend vendor events within the region both to discover new vendors and represent the Firm in existing vendor relationships – e.g. Local QB Connect or Xero Roadshow
Support Regional Program Champions and business development leads on product demos and platform requirement discovery
Work closely with other Senior Product Support Analysts to distribute product updates and improved workflows.
Implementation/Conversion – Regional (2/3 of role):
Work closely with Cloud Accounting Services teams across Western/Central/Atlantic Canada to enable a wide range of cloud accounting technology implementations
Provide complex client needs assessments, including custom solutions and detailed proposal creation
Champion Cloud Accounting Services within Western/Central/Atlantic Region
Work closely with individual BUs to identify and target industry specific niches
Migrate existing data to 3rd party applications such as HubDoc, Wagepoint, etc.
Support colleagues through deeper understanding of applications and integrations
Provide technical support to clients and bookkeepers
Provide training for clients and their team in Cloud accounting solutions
Collaborate with clients on a regular basis
Research and evaluate integrated Cloud Accounting applications
Review system/application implementations within Western/Central/Atlantic Regions.

CPA designation or equivalent or commensurate experience
QuickBooks ProAdvisor and Xero Certification preferred
Experience with Cloud-based payroll, payment processing and CRMs preferred
6+ years accounting-related experience
2+ years of experience leading a team
Superior technical expertise in accounting in privately-held business and publicly-listed companies is an asset
Keen interest in learning about emerging B2B technologies and a passion for technology and innovative thinking; quick learner (facilitate learning to use new software) and self-starter
Demonstrate well-developed analytical and research skills, together with attention to detail
Commitment to quality, excellence, client service, and continual professional growth for self and direct reports
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including exceptional interpersonal skills; able to earn the trust and confidence of clients and colleagues at all levels and to influence decision-makers
Strong problem-solving and management skills, especially in scheduling, organizing and supervising multiple teams with professional self-confidence
Self-motivated, results-oriented multi-tasker who works well both independently and in teams.
