Position Title : NDT Level III – Western Canada
Pay Range: Based on Experience
Reports to: District Manager and VP of Operations
Job type: Full time –Edmonton, Alberta location
Travel Requirements: Occasional out of town and overnight travel with or without notice.
The primary function of this position is to ensure the implementation, maintenance and on-going development of TISI's NDE personnel qualification and certification and NDE technical programs, as maintained by TISI's Quality Department, to address client’s technical inquiries, to assist in implementation of quality processes, to develop procedures as needed.

Essential Job Functions
Periodically review and update TISI's NDE certification examinations to ensure the effectiveness of this key, assessment process
Audits as required
Recommend program improvements as needed
Revise TISI's NDE personnel qualification and certification procedures as necessary to maintain program compliance
Develop and maintain all TISI's Process Specifications (TIPS) for NDE, including the development and maintenance of all NDE technical procedures, forms and supporting documentation
Provide support for TISI training initiatives relating to the areas which assigned, and other training as requested by supervision
Serve as a TISI Representative to technical & certification bodies as required
Maintain an awareness and understanding of all applicable regulations, codes, standards, and specifications, as well as company policies and procedures; complete any training necessary to support these activities and communicate these requirements to affected branch personnel as necessary
Communicate with customers on technical and program issues
Provide training as necessary, to affected personnel, including customers, to obtain program compliance, process efficiency and effectiveness, cooperation, and morale
Participate in other general administrative and technical activities such as cost reduction methods, communications, safety, housekeeping, and employee training
Performs all other duties as directed by supervision to include, but not limited to:
Preparation of certification program documentation
Preparation of branch and/or customer specific procedures
Perform Quality Control (QC) reviews and assistance of job or branch-specific procedures
Perform Quality Control reviews of completed inspection reports and related documentation
Assist in selected, customer related projects
Work is conducted in a private office setting.
Requires high school diploma or equivalent, technical school or college credits preferred
Must possess a current ASNT Level III certificate in the NDE method responsible; and possess adequate knowledge in the NDE method responsible. Must be willing to work towards CGSB certification for responsible methods.
Must have successfully completed all TISI required training (i.e., Safety, Smith Driving, Quality, etc.).
Proven ability to perform a variety of tasks, often changing assignments on short notice
Proven ability to prioritize and complete work assignments by specific deadlines
Proven ability to follow and communicate to subordinates precise directions and procedures of the customer on the project
Must be able to communicate with supervisor and co-workers
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Must possess strong computer skills – proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat
Must be able to lift and carry 25 pounds
Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities, with or without reasonable accommodation which permits employee to communicate effectively
Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation
Sufficient vision and observation with or without reasonable accommodation required for investigations
Sufficient manual dexterity with or without reasonable accommodation required to perform routine office duties
