Job Description:
Sentia is currently seeking a Business Development Representative (Junior/New Grad) reporting to the Vice President, Sales & Marketing. They will be responsible for generating new business relationships through a combination of sales & marketing tactics, campaigns & outbound proactive initiatives. The Business Development Representative will collaborate with Sentia marketing & sales management to develop & execute a structured business development approach. In this role, the VP, Sales & Marketing will coach to ensure you are set up for success in creating new business opportunities.
Focus will be on identifying opportunities to introduce Sentia and our amazing offerings, capabilities & IT expertise to the Ontario marketplace in an effort to develop new sales pipeline.
We are looking for someone who has an IT or Computer Science background.
Responsibilities:
- Help drive sales growth through new customer acquisition and surfacing of under-penetrated inbound pipeline
- Identify and target emerging customers to hop on discovery calls to learn more about what the customer is looking to achieve
- Independently manage a pipeline with multiple prospects utilizing our CRM to document progress and drive these accounts simultaneously
- Understand your customers' IT & business priorities/requirements to then present IT solutions that will solve customer problems
- Act as a brand ambassador for Sentia and create a strong first impression with our customers
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify and qualify new account opportunities and become knowledgeable on the various products to develop strategies to successfully promote Sentia
- Schedule regular customer facing (in-person or virtual) to increase Sentia’s market share and maintain solid partnerships to gain new contracts while continuously selling Sentia’s high value programs
- Effectively manage sales cycle from contact to close
Qualifications and Experience:
- College or University Degree preferably in Business, or Information Technology, or Computer Science
