The Team:
Best Buy Canada is one of the largest Omni-channel retailers of consumer electronics, computers and entertainment products, related accessories, and services in Canada.

Our 1,000,000-square-foot Brampton Distribution Service Centre services 94 Best Buy stores, 30 Best Buy Mobile, 10 Express across Eastern Canada. With over 300 Associates, 50 Lane Sortation System, and 120 pieces of machinery, our Brampton DSC is well-equipped to process all inventory for Eastern Canada.

Located in Brampton, Ontario our Distribution Service Centre boasts an unbeatable atmosphere with on-site cafeterias stocked with video game consoles, a foosball table, ping-pong table, and various vending machines. Nearby, there are popular restaurants, a mall, banks, and grocery stores, putting you in a hub of activity.

The Opportunity:
As a Distribution Operations Intern at Brampton Distribution Centers, you will play an active part in the daily operations of a multi-million-dollar distribution center. You will join our Distribution Operations team and receive robust training and development through a mix of classroom learning, on-the-job training and ongoing mentorship from your leadership team. You will learn how retail operations and our distribution centers work together; and we’ll introduce you to the engineering standards that keep our business running efficiently.

Through this internship, you’ll have the opportunity to:
Learn how to lead and inspire a diverse team
Actively participate in daily operations of all specific functions within the Distribution Center
Learn from and shadow Best Buy distribution leaders
Participate and contribute in process improvement initiatives
Provide insights and consult with business stakeholders and leaders

Specifically, we’re looking for:
Undergraduate or graduate business student with/or pursuing major in Logistics/ Supply Chain/ Operations majors preferred but not required
Strong analytical thinking and complex problem-solving skills
Proven leadership experience, team collaboration and strong communication skills
The confidence and flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Ability to have direct, candid and productive conversations around performance
Ability to work a flexible work schedule depending on business needs

Working Conditions:
Must be able to physically move throughout the distribution center to monitor the flow of inventory.
Exposure to dust varied lighting and noise.
Lifting & bending are required
Willing to learn and operate material handling equipment (Reach, Walkie)
