DevOps Engineer - Job Description:

The DevOps Engineer will work closely with the Development, IT, Support, and Quality Assurance departments to monitor and maintain our current Azure hosted environment. They will also streamline and work on automation tasks related to the build and deployment processes. This role will be the frontline for production-related issues that need investigation to determine root cause. In addition, this role will have the ultimate responsibility for pushing new releases to our cloud environments.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Implement and improve environment monitoring and alerting tools and processes
  • Release Software updates
  • Database administration
  • Integrate 3rd party tools
  • Develop tools to automate back end process
  • Develop in-house tenant management tools
  • Manage and maintain continuous integration tools
  • Production and test environment administration / management
  • Assist in Business intelligence report generation.
  • Participate in project-planning meetings.
  • Perform On call duties to ensure system up time.
  • Routine application maintenance tasks.
  • Create team policies and procedures to increase efficiency in develop cycles.
  • Azure active directory administration.

Required Skills:

  • Cloud infrastructure management
  • CI/CD with Teamcity, Azure Pipelines or similar
  • Understanding of troubleshooting networks, servers, and firewalls
  • Ability to communicate with confidence and trust
  • Ability to take the initiative to pursue assignments, responsibilities, and support requests to a final solution

Preference given for any of the following skills:

  • Azure setup and configuration
  • Domain name configuration
  • Understanding of certificates
  • Experience in using Application Performance Management tools (e.g., NewRelic, AppDynamics etc.)
  • Automated Testing
  • Firewall configuration
  • Load balancer configuration
  • Powershell scripting

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $60,000.00 to $80,000.00 /year
