Delta 9 Bio-Tech Inc. is looking for a strong leader with a methodical and organized approach to running and improving the harvest process. The successful candidate will have a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to measure and report on harvest data. This individual will be capable of planning, scheduling, managing a team of staff while maintaining a positive work environment and promoting collaboration and innovation.



· Oversee the harvest process; pre-harvest walk-through, cut-down, bucking, trimming, traying

· Manage the harvest process

o Optimize the flow

o Complete worksheets and Ample entries in a timely manner:

o Ensure all associated tasks are completed as per SOP

· Familiar with applicable SOP’s

o Provide feedback and/or edits to improve clarity

o Ensure SOP’s are up to date

· Present and review daily targets at Team Huddle

o Encourage two-way feedback with team

o Develop/modify Huddle Board metrics

· Plan and implement continuous improvement trials with direction from manager and/or VP Operations

o Clearly communicate and direct team

o Monitor trials; assure best effort given

o Promote buy-in from team

o define/plan metrics

o Provide informal report to manager

§ Include feedback from team

o Provide first draft SOP notes/updates when Continuous Improvement trials are successful

· Ensure necessary prep work is completed ahead

o Minimize over-prepping as per VP Operations

· Develop and maintain relationships with Growers and Grow Leads

o Complete walk-through of grow pods prior to each harvest

o Work with Grow team to develop/maintain consistent defoliation standards

· Minimize time between cut-down to drying

· Minimize unnecessary waste, correct careless work

· Communicate with manager to provide pertinent updates

· Work with other Leads / Packaging Supervisor

o Ex. To schedule and move staffing resources

· Set targets; include productivity/efficiency, quality etc.

o Review daily targets at Team Huddle

· Maintain, clean, organize and stock storage areas as per 5-S Standards

· Work with Drying Team on hand-off of wet cannabis

· Maintain positive working relationship with sanitation team for grow pod hand-off


· Complete annual performance reviews of Processing Associates and Harvest Team Leads

o Continuous feedback with both manager and harvest team

· Manage schedule of the harvest team

o Optimize staggered shift structure to minimize overtime and increase harvest capacity

o Plan to accommodate the peaks and lulls in harvest schedule

· Ensure all staff trained and signed off on most current versions of SOP’s

· Ensure all staff trained and signed off on most current versions SWP’s

· Provide coaching and progressive discipline as needed with the support of Manager.

· Promote positive work environment

· Assign responsibilities and hold associates accountable; examples include:

o A/C maintenance: weekly cleans, basis, maintenance, and monitoring

o Waste: daily waste recording, floor waste in/around pods, delegation of daily sweep and mops, keep working area clear of clutter

o Mobius: cleaning, maintenance, monitoring

o Bucker: cleaning, maintenance, monitoring

o Temp/Humidity tracker: daily recording throughout day

· Work with Harvest Team Leads:

o Determine appropriate trimmer settings

o Staff placement and flow

o Provide batch-specific information

· Ensure safe workplace procedures followed

o incident/injury/near miss reports completely in timely manner (day of)

o Notify manager of incidents

o Work with Health & Safety to mitigate risk

· Define responsibilities applicable when Harvest Supervisor is away

o Harvest Team Leads run harvest without supervisor when needed; continuously and routinely trained on paperwork, ample entry, QA concerns, and unique/new experiences

· Mentor and encourage development of the team, provide opportunity for growth and skill development

· Monitor harvest yields

o Notify manager and provide insights when batch deviates from expected yields


· Monitor harvest inventory and work with Purchasing to ensure uninterrupted production

· Implement/further develop preventative maintenance schedules for all harvest equipment

· Monitor care and good-handling techniques of plants

· Ensure sanitation and associated forms completed for each batch or day

· Communicate promptly with manager and QA regarding contamination risks, unique or new deficiencies, etc.

· Other duties as assigned


· Exceptional organizational and time management skills

· Basic Math and problem-solving skills

· Excellent Communication Skills

· Understanding of documentation procedures


· Ability to set goals and manage team to achieve them

· Experience working with cannabis an asset

· Ability to keep team motivated

· Capable of working independently

· Capable of lifting 50lbs and work in greenhouse conditions

· Must be able to pass a criminal record check

· Flexible with shift-work

· Demonstrated Leadership
