As an energetic and experienced Equipment Coordinator, you will provide ongoing administrative support around equipment, including coordination of purchase, maintenance, shipping and record keeping for all equipment information.
Forward planning to ensure timely and economical deployment of field equipment across Canada including purchasing, shipping/receiving and tracking the movement of field equipment.
Maintaining equipment in good working condition and keeping accurate maintenance and calibration records. Monitoring and reporting on lost/damaged equipment.
Monitoring utilization and managing cost recovery of field equipment, including suspension or sell-off of under-utilized items.
Conducting equipment inventories in Vancouver and coordinating inventories in other Canadian offices.
Streamlining equipment management and tracking process.
Maintaining effective reporting lines to management including equipment revenue and forecast information.
Safely storing and shipping hazardous materials (e.g., preservatives, batteries)
- Supporting sustainability initiatives and reporting on company sustainability metrics.
Providing other administrative support as needed, including covering reception for breaks/vacation days, filing of financial documents, and health and safety.
Support operational tasks such as office furniture set-up/take-down, coordination and execution of office moves, and miscellaneous tasks around the Vancouver office.
Provide technical assistance on environmental assessments, EHS compliance, site investigation and remediation, and due diligence projects by conducting research, compiling and evaluating data and assisting in report preparation.
Who you are:
3+ years of experience in a similar role, with knowledge of field equipment for environmental surveys/sampling (e.g., water quality meters, electrofishers, hydrometric equipment, GPS’s, communication devices, etc.)
Technical diploma or certificate in environmental sciences or related field is an asset, but not required.
Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
Exceptional organizational skills.
Critical thinking skills, ability to problem solve, multi-task and set priorities while working independently in a high performance team culture.
Proven verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet).
Ability to learn and understand software programs and new systems.
Knowledge of transport regulations (Transportation of Dangerous Goods certifications by Ground and Air is an asset).
First Aid training is an asset
WHMIS training is an asset
