QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Must be in good physical condition
Previous trail crew/landscaping/forestry experience an asset
Willing and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Valid driver’s license and abstract from ICBC
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Minimum 1 year supervisory experience
Working knowledge of WSBC applicable rules and regulations
Equipment operations – Mini Excavator and skid steer
Post secondary education in horticulture, Environmental studies or related employment an asset

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Revegetation work, trail cleaning, digging ditches, trail building.
Supervising, motivating and directing a crew of 7 to 12 employees.
Providing ongoing communication between Director, Sports and Guest Services
and Trail Crew

Scout and Flag new Mt Bike trails as per the 3 year Mt Bike Trail Plan
Assist with Signage
Adhere to Trail Standards from the Mt bike Industry
Perform to applicable WSBC rules and regulations
Equipment inventory, maintenance and repairs
Maintain existing runs for damage from use and allocate workers for problem areas
Be familiar with the worker Occupational Health and Safety checklist as it pertains to this position and the Supervisor OH&S checklist in the event they are away.
Onboard staff and utilize ADP for hours, new hires etc.
Maintain a maintenance log of all trails and daily activities of trail crew.
