WSP is currently seeking project engineer to join our Urban Systems Modelling/ Conveyance group, located at our Thornhill office. Under the mentorship of senior team members you will work on a wide variety of small to large scale studies, conceptual design and detailed design related to capacity issues within sewer systems in an urban environment. This position will provide you with experience on Municipal Class EA process, hydraulic modelling of sewers, conceptual design of sewers, and other related activities.
Managing a team of hydraulic modellers
Client Management and support in business development activities
Understanding of InfoWorks ICM or similar as a tool to resolve issues related to flooding
Assist with preparing technical analysis and design;
Assist with preparing reports;
Other duties as assigned.
A minimum of 10 years of experience (15 or more preferred) as a project manager, including demonstrated experience leading a large multi-disciplinary team on large scale projects;
Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering;
Significant experience in the hydraulic and hydrologic assessment of sewer systems, water quality assessment, stormwater management, design and construction of municipal linear and stormwater management infrastructure;
Working knowledge of one or more of the following: InfoWorks CS/ICM, PCSWMM, GIS, Programming using Excel;
Great communication and proven client management skills; and
Understanding of project financials and experience managing budgets over million dollars will be an asset
